RED BULL BOSS RUSH

Bombee and Maelstrom proudly partnered with Red Bull to deliver set and costume design, broadcast, motion graphics, and a custom-built real-time API tournament client for Red Bull Boss Rush. This unique Balatro format marked a first-of-its-kind tournament, featuring 8 remote content creators competing in fast-paced speedrun challenges using a custom-developed Red Bull game mod.

The event took place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere London, where player feeds were integrated into the live broadcast for on-site hosts. The set design and costumes drew inspiration from Balatro’s iconic jokers, while leveraging the venue’s existing LED wall to seamlessly integrate the graphics package into the environment.

The livestream was a major success, further reinforcing Red Bull’s position as a leader in innovative and original gaming experiences.
